Skuldig is Steyn’s second novel – and the second to be translated into Albanian for a growing readership, and published by esteemed publisher Ombra GVG.
It was originally published in 2015 and was awarded the ATKV Suspense Prize in 2016.
About the book

A middle-aged dentist, executed in his living room. Against the wall, one word. In blood. Warrant Officer Colin Menck looks at the “clean” scene and he is convinced it is the work of a professional killer.
Who hired him? The primary suspect is the victim’s wife, who is just too unemotional about the murder. But what did he do to deserve such a death?
Less than a week later, Menck is once again standing in front of a wall with six bloody letters. The only connection between the two victims is another unhappy woman, an ex this time.
To complicate matters, Menck and his new young colleague have not really found each other yet. On top of that, there is friction with the new ambitious group leader. And someone from a chapter in his life that he would rather forget.
How many names are on this killer’s list? How many more men are going to write GUILTY in their own blood before being killed?

Praise
“One can’t wait to see what happens on the next page, but at the same time hopes that the end is still far away – exactly what one looks for in a good book, but a rare talent in a writer.”
Ilse Salzwedel, Maroela Media
“The compassion with which Steyn portrays his characters and the clear picture he creates of the environment and the crimes ensure that I will definitely devote reading time to his detective stories in the future.”
Coenraad Walters, Die Burger
“How the main character interacts with his wife and two children is conveyed very well. The characters’ love for each other is palpable.”
Johan Smith, Taalgenoot
